È un materiale antistatico, impermeabile all'acqua e resistente, ricavato dal cotone attraverso un lungo processo di lavorazione. Nell'arco di diversi cicli di pressione grandi quantitativi di fiocco di cotone vengono trasformati in lastre compatte e resistenti, dalle sfumature e riflessi molto vari.
Dalle lastre, tagliate e sagomate a mano, si ricava l'oggetto grezzo, che verrà in seguito unito ad altre lastre, limato e lucidato, fino ad ottenere gli accessori per capelli Di Luca.
